The book has 10 stories each of which delve into the mind of a child, from age 12 onwards. There are issues here about problematic behaviour, parental loss, physical abuse, dealing with peers, religion etc. The book is a portrait of the modern child/teenager trying to deal with life as it comes to him/her. Some stories are full of hope, others are sad. All of them are about the love and understanding a child needs and craves.
